Warriors of Darkness «DARK», located in Aether-Midgardsormr, is an 18+ FC for people who want to channel their inner emo goth and kick moogles. We also accept uwu’s and owo’s.Content we enjoy clearing includes: Glams, decorations, and memes. Sometimes we play FFXIV. Made of sprouts and veteran players, we run content at different levels and set up learning parties to help our members progress through MSQ and end-game content.We have an active, boosted discord and are VC-friendly. We're a laid-back group and big fans of dank memes, glamour shots, and decoration shots in our discord. Pets are also acceptable and valued.
Home Away from Home
Warriors of Darkness was borne out of a desire for a positive culture that values discussion, open minds, strong family-like friendships, and content exploration at a steady pace. Made up of primarily working professionals or college students, we're a small, intimate group that sometimes finds the energy to do 10 raids in a row, but most often we just want to hang out and help each other out.We are here to HAVE FUN and take a break from real life. No one in DARK is under any obligation to donate, grind, or run groups when they don't want to. We set our pace and adjust as necessary. We look forward to our weekend events, which may be goofing off, celebrating someone's eternal bonding, or doing some Drunk Copied Factory with Will sabotage tanking and Labu have an aneurysm over voice chat.

So basically, be respectful, don't be a dick, and be okay with 18+/nsfw chat.But here's the nitty gritty.
1. Treat others how they/you would like to be treated.Be respectful of all members and their backgrounds/preferences! If you see a member is uncomfortable or is disrespected in any way, we encourage civil communication to resolve the issue.We're all human and mistakes can be forgiven and learned from! We're all here to have fun and to promote an involved and interactive environment that enables personal growth.However, bigotry such as racial slurs will not be tolerated. THIS is your warning. You will be kicked and banned without notice. Ignorance can be forgiven depending on context.The NSFW discord channel has more lenience, but it is not an "anything goes" chat, nor will there be a chat made for this. If you see any violation of any part of Rule 1, let an Officer know.2. This is an 18+ community.
While we do not ask or enforce anyone’s age, we ask everyone to understand that there will be adult language and topics in both FC chat and on Discord.If a topic begins to move into an uncomfortable or NSFW direction, please move the conversation to an appropriate channel. If anyone asks you to move the topic, please do so. Repeated requests may result in a temporary mute. Please always remember rule 1.3. Give positive and constructive feedback when doing high-end content.
Both veteran players and sprouts have a lot to learn, and we have players with varying experience in the multitude of areas that FFXIV offers. The purpose of this FC is to enrich every member’s experience in the game in a positive way.Negative feedback does not promote growth. When providing feedback, identify areas of improvement and offer clear and actionable steps for the player to improve. When receiving feedback, please listen with an open mind and engage in a healthy discussion if you don’t agree with certain feedback, or if you need clarification.4. Leave the drama at home.
Warriors of Darkness was, in part, borne out of our founding members’ need for a positive culture that values discussion and open minds. We may not always agree with each other, but we must always remember Rule 1 and engage in mature-minded discussion when our views don’t align. If necessary, our Shadow Court can moderate a private discussion.5. Absolutely no poaching.
We have friends in other FCs, and DARK has a no poaching policy. If people express interest in leaving their FC, it should be of their own volition and not actively influenced by any members of DARK.6. No spamming pings.
Basically, don’t @ groups/people just to bother them. It’s not cool.7. Limit alts and let us know if you'll be inactive.
We get it - you’ve got some hella character creation game. If you’re active on an alt, you’re welcome to add one additional character to the FC if you have reached Veteran rank in the FC. However, we want this FC to be small, intimate, and active.If you haven’t logged on in 30 days, your character will be kicked, even if it’s your alt. If you know in advance that you will not be active for 30+ days but want to stay in the FC, let an Officer know. We’ll move you to placeholder rank so all Officers know not to kick you.8. Have fun.
The most important rule - you are here to HAVE FUN and take a break from real life. No one here is under any obligation to donate, grind, or run groups when they don't want too. We are all here to have fun and relax. If it takes us a week or a year to meet certain FC goals, we don't care as long as we are having fun with our friends.

The Dark Cult Center is our primary place to relax and hang out, and we're damn proud of it. Located at the top of sea cliff with an unbeatable view of the ocean, this is where we come to rest, regroup, and /playdead.Our home's aesthetic encompasses the combination of our dark emo goth members and our wholesome UwU and OwO cuties. It is outfitted with a commanding entry space, upstairs kitchen and relaxation areas, and a lower level lounge perfect for parties! Grab a front row seat for one of Will's performances, or enjoy pleasant conversation upstairs.Stop by and grab a drink with us.

Hey everyone!We wanted to ping everyone and just take a minute to look back on our first week together here in Darkness. I'm not sure about you guys but it feels like we've been here a lot longer than a week, haha. And man, what a week. We got a lot done, and all of you should feel super proud. I wanted to take a minute and talk about the accomplishments all of you have pulled off.First, just to get it out of the way, none of us expected to be in a new FC this fast. Despite that I feel we've come together in heart and logistics and wow, what a start. While it hasn't been easy, I'm extremely proud that we were able to set things up quickly and provide people a home when our last one wasn't working out anymore. I know parts of this transition have not been easy for people, but we stood together and that's what makes us special. Standing together for each other.Second, we're pretty happy with how discord has been setup, and hopefully you guys are too. It may seem a lot right now, but we really wanted to be in a great position to add new members easily. The bots and roles and systems are all setup where from this point forward it should take very little to manage things unless we want to change it around. This means you guys hopefully have a fun time with lots of cool features and your officers can spend more time playing instead of doing paperwork.Third, our FC went from non-existent to Rank 9 in a week. We're able to get a house now and it took a few days of effort. This is nothing short of incredible and all of you are amazing. I've seen everyone work hard on raising the FC level and the progress you all have made is nothing short of stunning.Fourth, our coffers have grown enough to buy a small house. We almost have enough to have two people camping houses. Thank you for your donations and sacrifice here. The officers are camping spots almost daily, so it's just a matter of time before we get our first plot. This will be a huge milestone for us, having a home again, and all of you again have been instrumental in helping us get there. You are building your future home.Fifth, recruiting new members. While most of us come from our past life, it's awesome that we were able to bring on Mira this week. I've seen you guys form groups and run content, open up, engage, play together, and it is awesome. This is what it is about guys, being friends and having fun. For as great as everything up above is, this is what keeps us logging in and having fun. You guys are great.Sixth, everyone's activity. I see people in game constantly, discord always has conversations going, the memes are dank and lit - in a single week and with a small number of people we've had an incredible amount of banter. This is awesome, and I love seeing everyone open up and socialize with each other.For our first week guys, we couldn't be happier, and we hope all of you feel the same. DARK feels like home now, because our friends are here, and we're all very excited to see what the future brings. Soon we'll have a new plot, we'll keep working the market, and later this year we'll have an AWESOME expansion to play together. The future is looking great. Most of all I'm excited to be spending my time here with all of you, together, having fun. We could not ask for anything more.
I wanted to close out with a few quick announcements. You'll see the new rules section is up, please take a look when you get a chance. It's nothing new to most of us but it is a good refresher and reminder.
Second, now that we've settled a bit, we'll be opening up recruitment more. For now we'll keep this at the Officer levels, but if you have someone you want to bring in or meet someone who is cool, let one of us know and we can help out. Our goal here is quality not quantity, so remember the people we're looking for are our next good friend.Thank you everyone again for all of your hard work. And just to remind everyone, while creating a FC can be fun and rewording, make sure you take time for yourself. You pay your sub to login and have fun and that's what this FC is about first and foremost. The house, the glams, the decorations - these will all come with time, so don't stress. Hello everyone!Hard to believe it's only been about two months since the last one of these. Hard to believe the FC is only a little over 2 months old! It feels like we've been down this road for awhile now - running events, getting a house, building out projects - so much has happened in such a short time. The crazy thing for me personally is I've now been here about as long as I was in Turks! Completely nuts.We wanted to give another State of the FC since so much has happened in this short time. We'll be going over some of our successes, some of our challenges, and plans on where we want to go next. As always if you have feedback please let any of your Officers know.First, as some of you may have noticed, our leadership will fluctuate between active and taking breaks. Warriors of Darkness was founded as a safe haven for everyone to take a break from real life for a bit and enjoy the company of like-minded individuals. However, we can't ignore the fact that a majority of us are working professionals, with many real life things happening, sometimes very rapidly. Sometimes you’ll see members of the Shadow Council stepping back, or not logging in, or needing to change existing events. The culture of this FC and leadership is that real-life needs come first, and that when we are here it is for fun - for all members, including officers.Second, as if you guys don't know - WE HAVE A HOUSE. Thank you all so much for all the hard work you put in to get us here - raising money, camping sites, keeping spirits up for the campers. This was absolutely a team effort and we have nothing but pride for the determination, support, and love all of you have shown getting the FC a home. While this housing system is garbage, and the FFXIV developers should be ashamed at how bad it is, at least this FC has a place to hang out now.And hangout people have done! Once again we seem to be the only FC that actually hangs out in the neighborhood and house. It's great seeing everyone in the garden or at the bar, and having a place to socialize between duties, a place to come home too. The real benefit of the house is simply having a common place to see all of our friends. I look forward to logging in every day and seeing Fuzzy trying to craft HQ, or Mars dancing out on the street, or Zink doing epic market PvP at the board. It feels like coming home.Third, on the matter of the house, special thanks to Zoso for all of their hard work in making our home beautiful. They have spent weeks crafting, building, and decorating our home and they have done an incredible job. It should be no surprise that Zoso has become our first Shadow Forger - the DoH/DoL leads in DARK - a position they not only earned but excelled at. Thank you Zoso for all of your hard work, and for making a great place for your friends to hang out at!Fourth, now that we have a house, naturally, people are asking for when we'll get the bigger house. First, we want to be very clear - this FC for us is a place to relax, and we grind when it is fun to grind. That doesn't mean we're not going to go for a bigger place, but it does mean we don't want anyone burning out over it.Our plan for larger plots is to focus on getting a Medium. For the size of FC we want (~100 members) we're not interested in going for a Large at this time. This of course, could change as we grow, but for us DARK is about having relationships with people. Having too many people in an FC can hurt that, as we want people to know everyone who logs in (and be known!). Having too few will hurt us with running content, which we very much want to do. So while it is a balancing act, we will lean towards smaller numbers.When we decide to start fundraising for a medium house - which will be soon - we're going to make it fun. We'd like to do a monthly contest where the highest contributors receive rewards off of the mogstation, or perhaps other rare items. More details for our first contest will come soon, so stay tuned. Of course always remember - no one is under any obligation to donate or grind. This is your time as well, and we want you to login, have fun, and not stress. Only donate if you want.Fifth, we'll be adding two new activity roles in Discord to help you guys organize. The first is the Role-Play role. This will add channels for members to share stories or work on some together in character. The second activity role will be Blue Mages. This activity will be for grouping up to unlock new blue mage spells or doing dungeons together on your blue mage. Both will be self-assignable so check the #roles channel in discord to get these roles!Sixth, WE HAVE A WEBSITE. Labu has done an amazing job building this site, getting pictures together, and writing content. It looks great on desktop and mobile and is just awesome. We'll be using it for recruitment and to show off, but please take a look and let us know what you think! AMAZING JOB LABU!!!Seventh, we'll be looking to schedule some official meetings going forward. We'll be expanding the weekly Shadow Court meetings to include all other officers (not NCOs, Zoso you are off the hook). This is to help us get better feedback and share ideas with where we want to go. We'll also be scheduling a full FC meeting. This will be done in game and not in VC and will be another chance to get together for an event or activity after. Stay tuned!Eighth, you'll start to see us push more for recruitment now that we are settled a bit. Similar to the donation contest, we'll be sharing details for a recruitment contest soon as well. While only officers can invite, we'll be rewarding members who make the referrals. Keep in mind the contest is just for fun and some encouragement - what we don't want is a bunch of bots or negative people filling up the place. The culture is something all officers will defend vehemently. We only want people here who will be chill, not a dick, and enjoys doing the things we all like to do. So remember when you are thinking of inviting someone - is this a person you want to play the game with? If so, then let's do it! Details to come shortly about this contest.Ninth, speaking of recruitment, meetings, and officers, we have two new FULL officers! Please congratulate Mars and Nemu as our newest Shadow Knights! The rank of Shadow Knight is the first full officer rank in Warriors of Darkness. Their primary responsibilities are to assist members with questions or administrative needs, offer advice to the other officers on matters of culture and FC business, and recruiting other cool people we all want to hang with. As with all positions in the FC, this is not a job, so please be respectful of Nemu and Mar’s time. Some nights they will login to do things they want to do, other nights they may want to do officer stuff, and still other nights they may want a break from Final Fantasy. Please remember we all pay the same subscription, and as nice as it would be, Yoshi doesn’t give us a discount for being an officer.And finally, tenth, some concluding thoughts. Once again it has been an honor for us to serve as your leaders, and a privilege to have so many great friends. This adventure so far has been a blast and we have loved taking it together with you. You guys have made a wonderful home from home, a real place to escape too and have fun with, so from all of the Shadow Council, thank you for making this FC great.And with that, always remember - Fuck moogles.
